Conference Venue & Logistics

The First ANHS Himalayan Studies Conference will be held in Olin Rice Hall, Macalester College, 1600 Grand Avenue, Saint Paul, Minnesota in conjunction with the 60th Annual Midwest Conference on Asian Affairs, from October 28 to 30, 2011.

Hotel Information

A special conference rate of $115 per night has been arranged at the Holiday Inn Saint Paul Downtown, which will also provide a shuttle service to the Macalester College campus. This special group rate is availabe only until September 12th. Please take advantage of this discount before it expires. The Group Code to receive the special group rate is "HML". Accommodation is also available at other area hotels; however, you will have to use public transportation:

Holiday Inn Downtown The No. 63 bus and the No 70 bus run every 15 minutes between the Hotel and the Macalester College Campus.

Hilton Garden Inn St. Paul City Center The No. 63 bus and the No. 70 bus run every 15 minutes between the Hotel and the Macalester College Campus.

Best Western Bandana Square Take the No. 3 bus west along Bandana Square and transfer to the No. 84 south on Snelling.
